Turned My Dad Into A Druggie- Watch Out For This With Your Loved Ones

by Fred
(Dallas)

Having colon polyps turned my Dad into a pill stealer and taker. Yeah - hard to believe, but maybe telling it will help someone else. My Dad got help and then it was easy and OK.

My mother and brother noticed Dad was taking more naps than usual. But what the hey! He was 79 years old - he's entitled to nap as much as he wants.

But he was always pretty active - playing golf, volunteering in the condo association, watching golf on TV, even bowling in the senior league.

Turns out he had colon polyps, was bleeding slowly and all the time- it made him tired. So he took to swiping pills in the golf locker room. Lots of older guys leave them around or forget to lock their clothes up and they have pill carriers in their pockets.

Made for a nasty scene one night when my brother confronted our Dad. But it worked out OK. The colonoscopy doc took out 3 benign bleeding polyps and that started to turn things around. Dad liked feeling perky so he stopped taking the pills pretty quickly.

Hope this doesn't happen to your family.
