The Day I Found Out

I'm 60 years old and have been for afraid for a year to go get a colonoscopy. Something last December pushed me to do it and there it was.
I was very lucky. My doctor told me that I should pat myself on my back that I came in this year and not next.
I was in stage one ... Had the surgery.
One of the happiest days of my life is when she came in and said hospitals are for sick people...you are not sick. That is not what she would have been telling me if I had waited longer.
I was the biggest coward and believe me there is nothing to getting a colonoscopy. Having a colon resection is another story. Just think of what you might have to go through and what you may miss if you don't get a colonoscopy!
Life is a gift and this is a preventable cancer so call your doctor today.
