Stage I Cancer Diagnosis

by Anne Helton
(Marysville, WA, USA)

I had my first colonoscopy at the age of 53, just a routine screening. A malignant tumor was found. After a colon resection I found out my cancer is stage I and I needed no chemotherapy. I was very lucky and will continue my appointments every 6 months with my surgeon. As well as my yearly colonoscopy.

Screening are so important and saved my life.
