Small Bowel Loops and small Signoid Colon

Yesterday had my 5th colonoscopy. Dr got to 4cm and stated he stopped because of an obstruction. Had a CT scan 2 months earlier that did not show an obstruction.

I was sent to radiology for a barium enema that showed I had "small bowel loops" and a small sigmoid colon. Now my Dr wants to do another colonoscopy.

With small bowel loops what are the chances of perforating the colon wall. What causes small bowel loops? Have pain in lower abdomen with cramping in my anus area. Take Lomox prn to stop bleeding.

This has gone on now for 12 years. First colonoscopy done in 1999 could not be completed ...could not get scope through inflammation. 2nd one showed nothing, third one showed nothing....4th one woke up in the middle of the procedure due to pain...Dr took 2 polys but test showed nothing. Now the 5th one was not completed due to "small bowel loops" with no results.

Should I risk going through another colonoscopy? Still have pain in lower abdomen and cramping in anus area and bloody stools. What questions should I ask my Dr on my next visit?
