pressure after the bowel resection

I had my resection on oct 10th, 2011, and was in the hosptial for 20 days! and am still having alot of pain after having a bowel movement, it feels like alot of pressure down there, is this normal to be feeling this?

I finally found some sound answers to a question that has been bothering me. I had a colon resection on Feb. 15,2012 and I am still having issues. The pressure I feel when having a bile movement it bad. But, I guess I should be glad to have the bile movements because they just began 2 days ago. So, I will try to be a little more patient. Thanks

I had a sigmoid bowel resection (approximately 15 cm) on November 15th secondary to a mechanical obstruction. The biggest problem is that I've continued with bleeding (with every BM) since. The GI doc wants to do a colonoscopy once I'm 12 weeks post op to be sure there's, "...nothing above the anastomosis..."

Anyone have similar issues with bleeding?

I had colon resection one year ago. Now the things are getting normal. Be patient and watch what you eat.

After a colon resection it takes a very long time to feel normal again especially with bowel movements. I am 9 months post op and things are finally good now. But I still have to watch what I eat. Be patient and keep positive I know it is very frustrating. Good Luck.
