Other Treatments for Colon Cancer

I had an operation in 2006 and no chem since it looked like I didn't need it. Was diagnosed with metastatic colon cancer in April and given six months to a year to live if I did not go on chemo. Seven months later I still have no symptoms. Had none in April. An X-ray for another unrelated operation showed tumors in my lung.
I have self medicated with DCA (dichloroacetate) since April and now my oncologist at a top hospital has decided that I should not get chemo since my tumors are shrinking. Two CT scans, one in June and one in September showed shrinkage each time. My CEA is under 6 and has stayed there since I started DCA.
Not recommending anyone do this. Just a heads up that there are other possibilities. DCA is probably not a cure, has side affects and doesn't work or stops working for some.
Also looking into Metformin which kills colon cancer cells in vitro. LDN which can bolster your immune system. Ribavirin which attacks a protein that colon cancer needs to survive. Also looking into a chemical TM which depletes cooper from the body.
Am taking supplements including Curcumin, EGCG, lots of fish oil, aspirin (2 baby), Chorophillin and lots of B vitamins to help with the peripheral neurapathy which is the most common side affect of DCA.
Try the University of Alberta with DCA in google to see what they are doing with DCA in a clinical trial. Go to thedcasite.com to learn more from people like me.
I may be on regular chemo if my December scan does not show improvement but at the moment DCA is working for me.
