No- that pain is not in your testicles

by Jeff
(Albuquerque NM)

I was 50. Around Christmas of 2008 I began feeling as if my left testicle was being squeezed. It was not all that painful, but very annoying and not at all normal.

I was sent for an ultrasound and to a urologist, but no problems were found. I was given antibiotics to ease inflammation of the tubing surrounding the area, and that seemed to help a bit, but the feeling was still there.

It was not until late May 2009 when I began to see a bit of blood in my stool that I scheduled a colonoscopy.

On June 18th, I finally found out where the apparent testicular pain was coming from... just out of the ultrasound range...very close to the left testicle in some respect, but actually on the inner rectal wall.

Be aware of referred pain... my colon was trying to get my attention by throwing stones at the nearest thing it figured I might notice.
