Stage Two is Treatable

Although there are no guarantees in any part of life stage 2 cancer is normally treatable and she could be what is considered cured once all the cancer is removed.

This does not mean it can not come back.

Since your mom has it then you should talk with your doctor about when you should start being screened...

Normally it is age 40 to 50 but they may want to start earlier...

and you have a very good chance she will be around to see your kids...

My son was three when I was diagnosed with stage 2+ colon cancer. He didn't really get it, but he knew it wasn't a happy time when Daddy was getting a "treatment." I just celebrated my 5-year re-birthday last week and I feel fantastic.

It sounds like they caught your Mom's cancer fairly early, which is fortunate. The treatment (surgery and chemo for me) is not fun, but it is not the worst thing in the world. The thing that helped me the most was a positive attitude - mine and my family's. Anything you can do to help out around the house will be much appreciated. That and lots of hugs. Good luck.
