My cancer symptoms were fainting and having pain in my abdoman

by Sherri
(Alabama)

I think the beginning of my cancer was actually a year ago. I was dizzy and I fainted in my front yard after getting out of the car from a trip. I had a lot of dizziness going on. I went to several doctors who blamed it on possibly my heart and also had a strange spell where I threw up and also fainted. I shuffled from doctor to doctor meantime I was keeping one of my grandbaby; and had injured my shoulder and was to have an operation on it. The surgeon wanted test on my blood which included seeing if my blood level was right , my blood level was found low. Low white blood count.
The doctor ordered a colonoscopy, something I had had only 3 years earlier. I thought I saw blood but I had hemorrhoid problems? Shockingly the doctor who did my colonoscopy told me I had stage 4 colon cancer- with cancer also on my liver. I thought "How can that be!" I just had a colonoscopy 3 yrs. earlier and was told not to come back for 10 more years I was clear of polups. My doctor arranged to look through the film- video of three years ago. And to my surprise after finding out I had cancer it was clear! Now I'm thinking that the colonoscopy is either not a good indicator of cancer in the colon.
I think that a test of some sort should be done every 2 years. I don't know what type of test but something better than a colonoscopy!

I am about to finish my chemo. But puzzling my doctor has mentioned maintenance drugs to take! What!! my drugs. I thought after my soon to last chemo treatment that was it. But maybe not for me. I am dreading hearing what might be in store for me....a test said I was on the number 60 and the chemo worked well and pulled down my number to 6.

What do I do to lower it to zero. And, after all the treatment I have taken still have to take medication to live? I am puzzled.
