Lump in Anus found after primary Lump found in anus after primary colon cancer surgery by keyhole and 2nd primary cancer of lung removed by lobectomy.

My brother was diagnosed with a tumor on the lung November 2010 after a petscan he also showed signs of something in the bowel area. After a colonscopy a cancer blockage was found in the colon and surgery for that was done urgently. Six weeks after that he had the tumor from the lower right lung removed by a lobectomy. Now six weeks later he has found a lump in the anus area while wiping himself. Although both surgeries found no cancer in lymph nodes is it possible the cancer could have travelled to the anus site? He is organising to see a doctor today as it has become a concern for him over the last few days?

Update on above.

Just to let you know my brother is 62 years old is a smoker even after the surgeries. The heading should not have read primary lump found in anus, this is a typo and I could not edit. The colon and lung were the two primary cancers found. The lump in anus has just developed. All answers will be appreciated. Janet Jine 2011
