in need of a dietary solution after colon surgery

by fadi
(london)

two years ago my mum had colon surgery and and a big part of her intestine was removed. her doctor told her it wouldn't take more then 6 months to heal but two years on she's still can't go to the toilet properly. we've tried many diets but they never work and each doctor we've seen has advised us completely different to the one before about which diet to follow.

she struggles to go to the toilet and usually they smallest bit of stall will pass through but that's also because doctors say she has a very narrow passage, in a day she'll attempt to go to the toilet more then twenty times.
the straining when going to the toilet alone is making her suffer.

it feels like we have to figure it out on our own, if anyone has any advise it would be appreciated
thank you.
