How long does my husband have with this colon cancer?

by Dahl
(usa)

On 11/11/2011, my 50 year old husband was diagnosed with stage IV, high grade, colorectal cancer with mestasis to the Liver (more cancer than liver), Lymphnodes and Lungs. The Oncologist asked my husband if he even wanted to bother with treatment and then told us my husband only had a few weeks to live.

We opted for Chemo-Therapy, 5FU and Oxi. So far we've received one treatment and my husband seems to be handling it quite well. I, on the other hand am falling apart inside. I'm a realist and I know I am facing the possibility of losing my husband. I have hope and I do believe miracles can happen.

But I also know that this diagnosis is a deadly one. With so much fast growing cancer and us fighting it with Chemo, realistically, what can I expect as far as his life expectancy? One month? 2 years?

I know he doesn't have an expiration date on his foot, and I hope God heals him and I get to keep him. But, I also need to be prepared. Thank you.
