flat lesion 2cm in size in colon

I had a colonoscopy in June and found 4 polyps and a 2cm flat lesion, the polyps were removed and they tried to remove the lesion. Got some of it and it came back as precancerous.Had second colonoscopy in August to get the rest of the lesion. Scheduled for third attempt in November to see if all of it is gone or look for new growth. When do you check on need for surgery?
