dry mouth after colon surgery

i have been home for a week after surgery and continue to feel my mouth is dry?? is this normal???

I too have bee home a week home after colon surgery and have experienced a chronic dry mouth. I drink water but it doesn't go away. I'm sure it's just one more recovery feature to endure.
