Do I Need a Dietician ?

(Arizona)

I had a colon resection 6 weeks ago. The cancer was not in the lymph nodes, so no chemo was needed.

I feel great but am confused about what to eat. I hear: eat fiber, don't eat sugar. If I eat too much salad (I think)then I have many bowel movements. If I try to cut back then I get constipated. Tonight for the first time since the surgery I have gas and bloating. Do I need a dietician to help me know what to eat or is trial and error suggested. I don't want this cancer to return. My surgeon told me to 'eat whatever I want because it is hereditary".

I want to help myself as much as possible thru diet to keep this cancer away.
