Aunt died suddenly with colon cancer

My aunt just recently died from complications of colon cancer. Time from diagnosis to death was about a month and a half. Before she could even start chemo., she developed a bowel obstruction that caused her to be hospitalized. While in the hospital, she was told that they would not be able to treat her cancer due to the obstruction and that the next step would be hospice care. My aunt went home and passed away two weeks later.
