I applaud Katie for her work. I'd like to bring it to her attention that although I had no cancer 15" of my sigmoid colon was removed. BUT never did my insurance provider cover the cleansing cost 4 times. I was fortunate in that I had the money and am truly blessed that no cancer was found since it does run in my family. But what about those who can't afford to buy the cleansing products. It does concern me because I don't feel that I was an isolated case.

DESPERATE NEED COLONSCOPY

I LOST MY JOY AND INSURANCE, SINGLE WOMAN 39 YEARS ,, UNEMPLOYED, I AM VERY SICK AND HAVE HOSPITALIZED TWICE IN THE LAST YEAR WITH MAJOR GI PROBLEMS. DR. SAYS I NEED NEED NEED NEED NEEDTO GAVE A COLONOSCOPY. NO INSUR. NO JOB I CAN NOT AFFORD IT. I NEED HELP FROM ANY GOV AGENCY THE I CAN QUALIFY FOR. THESE WEB SITES ARE CONFUSING I DON'T KNOW IF I QUAIFY FOR MEDICAL

NEED help asap

I need a diagnostic colonoscopy but have no insurance or money. I had precancerous polyps removed at age 44 and now it has been 3 years and I am due for a colonoscopy as reccommended by my doctor but I have no way to pay. Does anyone know where I can go? Thanks, Katherine carrollservices1@aol.com
PS I had my first test F age 44 because of Katie Couric, she may have helped save my life. Thank you Katie!

colonoscopy... not for the poor

I just saw Katy Couric on the news having her colonoscopy done. She speaks about the importance of having this done, but says nothing about those that would like to have it done and can't afford it because they have no insurance and don't fit the criteria for gov't hand outs. If something is so important like a colonoscopy then there should be a way that everyone can have it done regardless of their ability to pay.
