getting a colonoscopy can save your life
by: Steve

Well Pat, it really depends upon your age, medical condition and family history.

A colonoscopy is recommended for everyone age 50 and every 5 years after that- even if no polyps are found. You should be rescreened more often if polyps are found.

But a colonoscopy is a great idea when you are younger if there is a family history or you have a history of cancerous conditions.

But you should always check with you physician before any medical procedure. Be safe and stay healthy.
