Colonoscopy

I had one yesterday 2 polyps where removed the Doctor said they where ok without going to the lab is that ok?

It's not ok that the doctor says it's not cancer. I was told the same thing and the lab says there is cancer. The doctor then made me go for a sigmoidoscopy (don't recommend that one) to "make sure he got it all" and to mark the spot where the polyp was.

He also wants a 2nd opinion but says the insurance won't pay for that - the insurance says they would but he hasn't done a darn thing about it. He told me I "might" need surgery but now I can't get him to call me back. I got the health advocate involved and he won't call them back either. It's my life in the balance, what is wrong with him???

It is my view that the doctors see so many polyps that they can recognize what is cancer or not. You are lucky, my polyp removal was cancer. Please continue to go for your screenings as recommended by your doctor.
