hi, i had my 1st colonoscopy a week ago age 37, about a year an a half ago i noticed i was feeling hungry all the time and was eating a lot more yet when i got on the scales i had lost weight, in 3 weeks i went from 11st4 to 9st10.i then started to bloat after eating, my belly would swell and feel uncomfortable, i started getting very low back pain which i still get now. also I'm always tired. a change in bowel movements and a few times i have had blood after passing a bowel motion..bright red but only small amounts.anyway they found 3 polyps during my colonoscopy which they removed, now i am waiting for the biopsy results. the colonoscopy i had without sedation, it is uncomfortable, and i was thinking i never want 2 go through this again but i realize it is a life saving procedure. i hope my story and the symptoms i have help people 2 get this procedure done it can prevent cancer by getting polyps removed early.

Polyps
by: Anonymous

I was rushed to the hospital. I found out I have polyps and I had the colonoscopy done. I was put asleep as it's been very painful. I always have bleeding from back passage. I'm scared its turning to cancer. I've just turned 41. I have to go back to see my consultant in three weeks. Why couldn't he remove them? I'm scared. It sounds silly; I'm just on pins and needles. Can anyone help me, please?
