No boundaries
by: Colon Cancer Survivor

I am 35 years old and was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. However, now I am a SURVIVOR! Cancer knows no age... it does not matter if you are 50, 30, or 5. If your doctor believes you are to young, perhaps you should seek the opinion of another doctor. Without the knowledge and wisdom of my physician, it would have been at least another 15 years before my first colonoscopy. Insist on a colonoscopy... it could save your life!

I have similar symptoms
by: KJ2011

Hi Tara,

I am a 21-year-old female and have all of the symptoms of colon cancer: Blood in my stool twice, narrow stools, black stools, mucus in my stools, abdominal pain and bloating, fatigue, and weight loss (even though I have not been exercising).

What have you heard on this? My doctor keeps saying she's concerned it's colon cancer but she insists I am too young...
