Adderall and colon cancer symptoms

(WI)

I have started taking adderall approx. 3 months ago and have lost 18 pounds. I have had terrible cramping pain along with bouts of diarrhea and constipation. I might have noticed a few times of blood ribboned in the stool but unsure if that is what I saw. These bouts used to happen once a month, then 2x per month and now they have been happening weekly and sometimes a couple of times in one week.

I have had these problems before I ever started the Adderall, along with tiredness, but it hasn't been until recent that I have lost the weight. I don't know if this is due to the medication or my abdominal issues.

It seems that I can never have a bowel movement without intense abdominal pain. Once the feces itself turns into a pure watery liquid, then the pain stops. This used to happen at around 4am and the pain would wake me right up and I would be running to the bathroom. Now I have noticed that after I get up usually 20 minutes or so, the pain starts and I am again in the bathroom.

I am a soon-to- be 50 year old female. Please advise.

Adderall Increasing Metabolism
by: Anonymous

The adderall is increasing your metabolism--hence the bowel movements and weight loss. It sounds as though the medication may be doing more harm than good. It would be best to seek medical attention.
